Be aware of fake Coinmetro websites

Incident Report for Coinmetro

Investigating

We’ve detected an increase in fraudulent sites impersonating Coinmetro - http://walletcoinmetro.com/ and http://walletcoinmetro.io/. Please be informed that these are FAKE websites set up by scammers and have NO affiliation with Coinmetro. These sites are designed to steal your login details, funds, or personal information.

To stay safe online:

1. Always double-check the URL — Our official Coinmetro website links are https://www.coinmetro.com and https://www.go.coinmetro.com. Coinmetro does NOT have an affiliation with the fraudulent websites noted above, and we do not have a separate website for a wallet.

2. Do not trust messages or links from unsolicited emails, ads, or messages. Emails sent from the real Coinmetro will only ever come from the email addresses hello@coinmetro.com and hello@content.coinmetro.com. We would NEVER reach out to you on Telegram or WhatsApp.

3. Bookmark our official website links (https://www.coinmetro.com and https://www.go.coinmetro.com), and access them directly from your bookmarks folder if possible.

4. Enable 2FA on your account for additional protection. You can find out how to set up 2FA here: https://intercom-help.eu/coinmetrohelpcenter/en/articles/317747-2-factor-authentication-2fa-setup-on-coinmetro

5. If something feels off, stop and double-check before entering any information. If in doubt, you can contact us via our official channels either via email at hello@coinmetro.com or via live chat on our website (https://www.coinmetro.com).
